Shoot Eight

I have taken this image of the burnt down factory to use as an overlay image for the portrait images in this shoot. I like the edit of this image becuase I have adjusted the brightness and contrast and also changed the colour to sepia to make it look more effective and aged. If I were to retake this photograph, I would take it from a different angle to ensure that the sunlight did not effect the image as a whole and this would result in a better quality image.

When editing this image I have made the background black and white and kept the model and the graffiti in colour. Also I have increased the contrast of the parts of the image which are in colour. Due to this photo shoot taking place in natural lighting, it has resulted in shadows in the background of tthe image and also really bright aspects of the photograph. If i were to retake this image, I would not take the image so close up due to the model looking as though she has been photoshopped into it.

These three images show the development of this photograph whilst editing it on Photoshop. In the first image I have edited the background to be black and white whilst the model is still in colour. In the second image I have changed the background from black and white to sepie to create an aged effect. In the last image, I have used the Gaussian Blur tool in Photoshop the blur out the background and make the model stand out more. Also, I have reduced the brightness and vibrance of the model to make her seem to blur in with the background but doesnt at the same time.

This is one of my favourite photographs from the shoot becuase it appear more naturalistic rather than fake and posed which I think is interesting as it takes my idea in a different direction. In this image, I have made the whole image look aged as I have changed the whole image to sepia whereas I haveonly blurred the background to show that the place where the model is, is rundown and abandoned whereas the model is brightening it up amd she it the main point of focus.

When taking this photo shoot, I have had to take into consideration the natural lighting at the abandoned factory which I have taken the shoot at. Some of my images are too overexposed where i have been experimenting with apperture and some are too underexposed due to the darkness of the building. If I were to reshoot this photo shoot, I would choose a day which was not as sunny to ensure that I could get the best outcome of my images.
